We are working on behalf of a well‑established law firm to recruit a proactive and forward‑thinking Legal Assistant / Paralegal to join its Community Care team based in Reading. This is a full‑time, non‑fee‑earning support role, providing high‑quality assistance to a Partner and the wider team. It is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Legal Assistant or Paralegal who enjoys a varied support role and is looking to develop their career, with potential progression to a more senior position based on performance. The role offers a hybrid working arrangement, with 2–3 days per week in the Reading office and flexibility around office days.
Key Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal
- Essential experience within healthcare, NHS or community care law
- Ability to work independently on administrative aspects of files
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organisation, record‑keeping and diary management skills
- Confident managing competing priorities and deadlines
- Strong Microsoft Office and keyboard skills
- A collaborative team player with good interpersonal skills
Key Responsibilities
- File, case and document management
- Diary and billing administration
- Supporting fee earners and providing holiday cover
