Head of Corporate (Solicitor) | Boutique Mayfair Firm | London | £90k – £100k |Hybrid office/WFH
A highly regarded boutique Mayfair firm is seeking an ambitious and experienced Senior Associate or Salaried Partner (7+ PQE) to step into the role of Head of the Corporate Practice.
This is an exceptional opportunity to lead a growing department within a prestigious practice that boasts an impressive client base of high-profile and legendary names.
You’ll inherit an established client base and have the platform to shape and develop the department mid- to long-term with genuine scope for equity partnership on successful performance.
The role:
- Leading and growing the Corporate as Head of Department
- Managing a steady flow of high-quality work from strong referrer networks
- Handling a broad mix of corporate matters including:
- M&A transactions (typically £5m–£20m, plus smaller and larger deals)
- Disposals and de-mergers
- Corporate restructures and joint ventures
- Drafting T&Cs and ROE filings
- Preparing legal opinions
- Exposure to offshore structures would be highly advantageous
- Playing an active role in business development and expanding the Practice client base
Your expertise:
- Circa 7+ years PQE (or equivalent) in corporate law (relative to the above work)
- Strong track record in managing corporate transactions and advisory work
- Confident in building and developing long-term client relationships
- Energetic, ambitious, and a natural go-getter with a hunger to succeed
- Previous experience with corporate structures, ideally including offshore work
- Keen to establish and grow a department within a prestigious Mayfair practice.
- Ability to work autonomously dealing with excellent clients
