Highly regarded, Legal 100 city firm is looking for an experienced Employment Solicitor to join their successful employment team. In this role, you\’ll provide high-caliber advisory and litigation support for a prestigious, diverse client base, working on complex employment and HR matters. The team advises on a range of issues—from contentious disputes and strategic workplace challenges to transactions and restructuring—with a focus on delivering pragmatic, commercially aware solutions.
The role
- Manage high-quality employment work across both contentious and non-contentious areas.
- Advise clients on employment litigation including whistleblowing, discrimination, and post-termination restrictions.
- Assist clients on day-to-day HR matters such as grievances, disciplinary issues, terminations of senior executives, and drafting contracts and policies.
- Advise on board-level workplace matters, post-termination issues, TUPE regulations, and support on corporate and property transactions.
- Handle employment litigation in Tribunals and the High Court.
- Work with corporate clients from industries such as financial services, media, manufacturing, gaming, logistics, large corporates, and start-ups, both UK and international.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, contribute to business development, and deliver excellent client care.
- Manage your own caseload and meet financial targets with supervisory support.
- Build and maintain client relationships, including direct dealings with clients.
- Supervise junior team members, including Junior Associates, Paralegals, and Trainees.
What they are looking for
- Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales (overseas candidates with UK experience and no sponsorship required will be considered).
- Minimum of 3 years’ PQE in a recognized Employment practice from a London firm.
- Proven experience handling the full spectrum of employment law matters, including litigation and advisory work.
- Strong communication skills, commercial acumen, and a passion for client service.
- Team player with an active interest in marketing and business development.
- Ambitious, success-driven, and passionate about employment law.
