Clinical Negligence Solicitor – 2-5 Years PQE |Berkshire |54-65K dep on PQE| hybrid working |Legal 500 and Chambers Ranked team
A highly respected and boutique legal 200 firm is looking for a motivated and capable Clinical Negligence Solicitor to join their leading and highly regarded team. This is an excellent opportunity to join one of the most entrepreneurial and specialist Clinical Negligence teams in the UK. Ranked top-tier by both the Legal 500 and Chambers for two decades, their team acts exclusively for claimants and is known for its work on life-changing, catastrophic injury cases. All of their Partners are recognised as leading individuals in the field.
This firm prides itself on its good work/life balance, offering 3 days a week from home and excellent progression.
The Role
You will assist senior members of the team on complex, high-value claims involving cerebral palsy, birth injury, cauda equina syndrome and other serious conditions, while also managing your own caseload of claimant clinical negligence matters independently. Your cases will typically be valued at £50,000 and above and involve a wide range of medical treatment issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Running your own caseload of Clinical Negligence claims (typically £50k+)
- Supporting partners with complex, high-value birth injury and cauda equina cases
- Engaging with medical experts and counsel to develop evidence on liability and quantum
- Working collaboratively with colleagues in a supportive, well-resourced team
- Contributing to the growth and development of the Clinical Negligence practice
Who they are looking for:
- 2–5 years’ PQE with a strong background in Clinical Negligence
- Trained and worked at a firm known for high-quality Clinical Negligence work
- Able to manage a range of lower-to-mid-value cases independently
- Experience or interest in cerebral palsy claims and quantum work is desirable
- Strong technical skills and attention to detail
- Confident communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Methodical, organised and proactive approach to case management
- Commercial awareness and a genuine interest in contributing to business development
