In-House Legal Counsel - Property Focus

Canary Wharf, London (Hybrid)
Our client, a privately owned property company focused on management and development, is looking for a confident Associate or Senior Associate to join their thriving team! The company owns a unique portfolio of freehold office, residential (including a London development of 800 flats), hotel, retail and leisure properties spread across the United Kingdom, with some international assets in Europe.
They offer a competitive salary and hybrid working out of their central London office, with a generous benefits package, and a diverse caseload. This is an excellent opportunity for a successful property solicitor with the right experience to move in-house and join a friendly and flexible team!
Key Responsibilities:- Assist a small in-house team with real estate matters including a variety of litigated and non-contentious matters.
- Manage a caseload of property litigation, commercial property, and residential property matters including purchases, sales, landlord and tenant matters, property disputes, and development projects.
- On occasion, assist other members of the in-house team with commercial litigation and corporate law matters.
- Support the CEO with legal support, advising senior team members and ensuring full compliance.
- Supporting the development of the office and assisting with office initiatives.
- UK qualified solicitor of 5+ PQE or equivalent qualification. Other levels will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
- Excellent post-qualification experience in property law including experience with commercial or property litigation and of commercial property transactions.
- Ideally with experience in hotel real estate matters and residential property transactions.
- Excellent communication skills with colleagues and members of staff.
- High levels of attention to detail.
As renumeration this employer offers a competitive salary at the top of the market with a package that includes 25 days holiday (excluding bank holidays), enhanced pension scheme, private healthcare, and other benefits. They provide 1 day a week hybrid working and a work/life balance that is not normally achievable in a private practice environment.
