A well-established law firm is looking to recruit a Conveyancing Assistant to join its residential property team in Histon.

This is a great opportunity for someone with previous legal experience who is looking to develop their career within residential conveyancing. The firm is happy to consider candidates with experience as a Conveyancing Assistant, Legal Secretary, Legal Assistant or Paralegal, with an interest in residential property.

The role

Working alongside experienced fee earners, you will provide day-to-day support across a range of residential property matters and help ensure transactions progress smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with the progression of residential conveyancing matters
  • Preparing correspondence and legal documentation
  • Liaising with clients, solicitors, estate agents, lenders and other third parties
  • Dealing with searches and enquiries
  • Assisting with exchange and completion
  • Maintaining accurate files and records
  • Providing general administrative and legal support to the team
  • Dealing with client queries and providing updates where required

About you

  • You will have previous experience within a legal environment and be comfortable working in a busy team. You will be organised, have good attention to detail and be confident communicating with clients and other professionals.
  • The firm is open to candidates from a range of legal support backgrounds, including Conveyancing Assistants, Legal Secretaries, Legal Assistants and Paralegals.
  • This would suit someone who is looking for a long-term opportunity with a supportive team and the chance to build their knowledge and experience within residential property.
