Join our Corporate Health & Safety Team at L&Q: We are looking for a Health & Safety Advisor to join our diverse and experienced Corporate Health & Safety (CH&S) team. With around 30 professionals covering workplace safety, construction, fire and building safety, and employee wellbeing, CH&S plays a vital role in shaping a safe and healthy working environment across L&Q.
As part of the second line of defence, our team develops policies, supports risk management, delivers audits, monitors compliance, and promotes best practice.
About the Role: In this role, you will provide expert advice and support on a wide range of health and safety topics to frontline staff and managers. You will lead and contribute to safety-related projects, working closely with internal teams and external partners.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Promoting high standards of health and safety across all L&Q workplaces
- Maintaining and improving our Occupational Health & Safety Management System (OHSMS)
- Designing and delivering training, processing incident reports, and conducting audits
- Monitoring compliance and encouraging safe behaviours
- Building strong relationships across the business and with external stakeholders such as local authorities
- Supporting departmental goals through collaborative and independent work
What you will bring: To be considered, you will need to demonstrate:
- A NEBOSH General Certificate (minimum) and membership with a recognised health and safety institute
- Proven experience in a health and safety advisory role, ideally in a multi-site or housing environment
- Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation, supported by ongoing professional development
- Confidence using Microsoft tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint) to communicate safety messages through reports, data, and training
