An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Life Guard to join our Leisure team. The successful applicant must have a friendly, outgoing nature and be proactive in achieving the challenges set for them. They must maintain safety, to help prevent drowning and other injuries from occurring in or around the poolside area by keeping a full supervision.

Department: Leisure Club
Reporting To: Leisure Club Manager
Hours: 40 hours, to include weekdays, afternoons, evenings and also weekends.
Roles and Responsibilities
- To supervise the pool and poolside area to help ensure the safety of its users, enforcing poolside rules where necessary.
- To administer first aid to members/guests where necessary.
- To carry out regular health and safety checks such as pool tests and changing room checks.
- To maintain a high level of cleanliness of the poolside area.
- Report any maintenance or member issues to the line manager.

Required Criteria
- Maths GCSE grade 4/C or above.
- Must hold an up-to-date National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ).
- Current First Aid at Work Qualification Level 3.

- Experience of working in fitness and leisure.
- English GCSE grade 4/C or above.
