Position Overview

  • Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time, 40 hours per week
  • Salary: £41,200 per annum
  • Location: North London
  • Persona: Mobile Working (van provided). Contractual hours to be worked from various locations such as resident homes with ad hoc office attendance as required.
  • Reporting Office: Stratford, London

Responsibilities

  • The role will involve all aspects of internal and external window repairs, including single and double glazing, repairs to doors, lock refits, and general maintenance.
  • Carpentry skills will be required to fulfil the duties.
  • Operatives will be supplied with a L&Q van (business use only), uniform and PPE equipment, and will travel to jobs assigned via a handheld PDA.
  • Customer satisfaction is of paramount importance; the position is the first line of contact for residents, requiring outstanding customer service and a commitment to delivering a “right‑first‑time” service.
  • Core working hours are Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, with opportunities to earn additional pay from call‑outs and out‑of‑hours service.

Qualifications

  • Sound working trade knowledge and experience
  • Experience gained within a maintenance, site and/or housing environment
  • Ability to deliver excellent customer service
  • Health and Safety conscious
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Wide range of multi‑trade skills
