Contract Type: 1 x Permanent Position, 1 x FTC 12 months

Salary: £34,381 per annum (London weighted salary)

Grade: 6

Reporting Office: River House, Sidcup

Agile Worker: 20% - 40% of contractual hours to be worked from reporting office/working location (hybrid working)

Working Pattern: Working in shifts between hours of 7am-8pm Monday to Friday with occasional Saturday 8am-1pm

Join our Planning and Scheduling Team at L&Q. L&Q is one of the UK’s largest housing associations and providers of social and affordable homes. The Planning and Scheduling team are hiring for 2 experienced Work Planners (1 x FTC 12 month, 1 permanent full time position) as part of our regional operational maintenance teams. Our customers and residents are at the heart of everything we do and as a member of the Direct Maintenance Team, it is vital that you have the passion for great customer service, with the ability and willingness to deliver excellence to both internal and external customers every time.

The post holder will have an opportunity to play a part in delivering a high-impact service to our residents.

Your impact in the role:

  • Responsible for co-ordinating the planning and scheduling of the Direct Maintenance Technicians within reactive repairs across the L&Q Estate
  • Manage Technicians diaries and timetables to ensure that jobs are completed in a timely manner
  • Log data and notes on the computer system to ensure smooth handover and communication
  • Monitoring of emails, escalating issues to Team Leader and ensuring that maintenance issues are resolved in line with service level agreements.

What you'll bring:

  • Ability to work under pressure in an ever-changing environment and be able to adapt and prioritise
  • Repairs and Maintenance knowledge is essential as well as front line Customer Service experience.
  • Clear ability to communicate both verbally and written.
  • IT literate with the ability to use MS Office packages and have excellent administration skills.
