Salary: Starting from £57,094 per annum (London weighted salary) or £49,502 per annum (Regional salary), dependent on experience

Grade: 10

Reporting Office: London, Stratford or Manchester, Trafford

Persona: Agile Worker – 20% to 40% of contractual hours to be worked from reporting office (hybrid working)

Overview:

Join our Planning and Portfolio Team at L&Q. This key role supports the Transformation & Change Portfolio, strengthening planning, governance and reporting across a complex, multi‑programme transformation environment. As a Portfolio Analyst you will provide dedicated analytical and operational support, focusing on centralised resource management, data quality, dashboards, utilisation, capacity, forecasting and the insight required for portfolio‑level decision‑making.

Responsibilities:

  • Resource Management & Reporting Support: Support the operation and continual improvement of centralised resource management processes across the portfolio. Maintain, validate and enhance resource data from projects and resource owners to provide clearer visibility of capacity, allocation and utilisation.
  • Portfolio Data & Insight: Produce and maintain resource dashboards, MI and reporting packs covering utilisation, allocation, capacity, constraints and forecasting. Provide portfolio leaders with timely, reliable information to support planning, mobilisation and delivery decisions.
  • Reporting Cycles & Governance Support: Support regular resource reporting cycles, including data collection, follow‑up, quality checks and preparation of outputs for leadership forums. Identify resource gaps, delivery pinch‑points, capacity risks and data inconsistencies and surface them through appropriate governance routes.
  • Process Improvement & Tooling: Support reporting automation, dashboard development, PMO tooling implementation and ongoing process improvement. Maintain portfolio controls, templates, logs and ways of working linked to resource management and reporting.
  • Working Across the Portfolio: Collaborate with Project and Programme Managers, resource owners and delivery teams to improve the quality and consistency of resource information. Build effective working relationships across Transformation, Technology, Finance, Strategy and business teams.
  • Impact & Contribution: Directly enhance resource visibility, improve data quality, deliver reliable reporting and increase confidence in portfolio planning and delivery decisions.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in an analyst, PMO, portfolio, project support or resource management environment.
  • Experience producing management information, dashboards, reports or data analysis to support decision‑making.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, spot inconsistencies and convert information into clear insight.
  • Good Excel, reporting and data‑management skills, maintaining accurate information across multiple inputs or stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting governance, reporting cycles, action tracking or operational portfolio processes.
  • Ability to work with Project Managers, Programme Managers, resource owners and enabling teams to gather, validate and improve information.
  • Confidence following up on missing, incomplete or inconsistent data and improving reporting quality.
  • Good organisational skills, managing regular reporting deadlines, competing requests and detailed information.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, producing structured, professional outputs for management and leadership audiences.
  • A practical improvement mindset and interest in improving processes, controls, templates, dashboards and ways of working over time.
  • Portfolio, programme or project management qualifications are helpful, but equivalent experience in a complex transformation, portfolio or consulting environment is equally valuable.
