Contract Type: 6‐month FTC until end of November 2026, Full‐Time, 35 hours

Salary: Starting from £42,149 per annum (London weighted salary) or £37,573 per annum (Regional salary), dependant on experience

Grade: 8

Reporting Office: London, Stratford or Manchester, Trafford

Persona: Agile Worker: 20% – 40% of contractual hours to be worked from reporting office/working location (hybrid working)

Job Overview: This role provides an opportunity to accelerate our capabilities around risk management software, risk analysis and reporting. By getting a grip on the capability of our risk management software you'll simplify processes for users and support greater compliance with the risk and assurance framework. Through improving the risk reports you'll help us to better manage our risks and provide assurance across a large organisation, enabling better decision making and helping us deliver reliable, repeatable and consistent services for our residents.

In this role you'll take the lead on working with our risk management software, improving the set up and creating reports. You'll monitor the risk registers in our corporate risk management software (Riskonnect's Active Risk Manager (ARM)) system and undertake analysis to identify trends, risk and control inter‐dependencies. You'll review the quality of the risk, control and assurance information to support continuous improvement. The FTC will play a crucial role in building and embedding our approach to assessing and reporting compliance with our risk and assurance framework. The role will report to the Head of Risk and Assurance and work with our two Risk and Assurance Managers. This small team sits within a larger Transformation and Change team who lead on the Group's large Transformation portfolio – central to the delivery of our new 5 year corporate strategy.

Your impact in the role:

  • Lead work to strengthen and simplify the set‐up of our risk management software, creating dashboards and reports to support understanding of risk and assurance across the business.
  • Support efforts to improve the quality of the information input into the system through guidance, monitoring, reporting and training.
  • Create reports that will establish a reliable repeatable approach to assessing, analysing and reporting on compliance with the risk and assurance framework.
  • Create reports that present our current risk and assurance position, analysing trends, identifying risk and control similarities and inter‐dependencies.
  • Support the quarterly reporting to leadership and Governance Groups including our Audit and Risk Committee.
  • Support and coach risk owners and risk champions.
  • Support the approach to critical incident and business continuity planning and testing.

Key relationships: Small central team that supports the business in understanding its risks, controls and assurance, working with a group of risk champions from across the business, tailoring risk reports and dashboards to better help them support their leaders in managing risk.

What you'll bring:

  • Experience of administering, developing the set‐up and training on using risk management software systems/tools. Experience with Riskonnect's Active Risk Manager ideal but not essential.
  • Strong analytical and problem‐solving skills with the ability to assimilate, manage and analyse complex data to inform robust data‐based recommendations.
  • A sound knowledge of risk management principles.
  • Successful managing a range of stakeholders.
  • Initiative and be self‐starting and adaptable.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to present complex information in a concise and engaging way.
