Salary: £28,280 per annum

Persona: Site Based South East London (SE8 and surrounding postcodes)

Reporting Office: West Ham Lane, Stratford, London, E15 4PH

Working Pattern: 8am to 4pm Monday to Friday

Join our Caretaking Team at L&Q: L&Q is looking for an experienced Caretaker to join the Estate Services team. This position is site based at our schemes in South East London. This is a key function of our continuing commitment to providing a responsive customer-based service for our residents. There is a requirement to drive for this position.

As a caretaker you will be involved in maintaining communal areas within our blocks and on our estates, carrying out communal cleaning and grounds maintenance work, carrying out small maintenance repairs as required, liaising directly with residents and contractors, and answering queries while having due regard to health & safety and security issues.

What you'll bring:

  • Capable of carrying out a variety of small repair jobs and working effectively as part of a team and under your own initiative.
  • A good communicator and willing to learn new skills as the service adapts to the changing needs within the Neighbourhood.
  • Able to work on your own initiative and be self-motivated to organise your own time effectively.
  • Proactive in your daily activities and aware of safe working practices.
  • Commitment to customer service delivery.
  • Have IT skills as you will be required to use a PC, undertaking online courses and assessments (This can be learnt on the job during the probationary period).

DBS: For this post the successful candidate will need to apply for or be in possession of a Basic Disclosure Barring Service certificate (DBS) to enable them to work within the team.
