Contract Type: Permanent – Full Time, 35 hours per week.

Salary: £48,691 – £53,725 per annum, depending on experience. Plus Essential Car User Allowance £1,300 per annum.

Grade: 9.

Reporting Office: London, Stratford.

Working Location: South/Thames London. Persona: Agile Worker – 20% to 40% of contractual hours to be worked from reporting office/working location (hybrid working). Office, site, and home working. Site attendance 4 days a week.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect and ensure quality of planned programmes including Kitchen and Bathroom renewal, windows and door programmes, roofing and retrofit works.
  • Collaborate with partnered contractors to provide excellent customer service and ensure high‑quality products and delivery.
  • Ensure L&Q property assets are maintained in line with allocated programmes, developing efficient de‑risked solutions for partners/contractors.
  • Cover refurbishment, planned investment, mechanical and electrical works, and fire safety remediation.
  • Serve as a point of contact for residents, partners, and stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Excellent technical knowledge and site experience.
  • Understanding of contracts, compliance, specifications and pricing structures such as NHF schedule of rates.
  • Ability to monitor work progress, undertake snagging visits, identify defects and conduct final handover inspections.
  • Skills to keep detailed records, create reports for management and take/record site measurements.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety Regulations, legislation and CDM Regulations.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Contract management experience, including risk management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) – ability to compare spreadsheets, use basic pivot tables and formulae.
  • Determination and enthusiasm to collaborate, work as a team, contribute positively with internal and external stakeholders, support others and maintain a flexible approach.
  • A construction qualification, membership of ICWCI and/or relevant large, planned work experience.
  • A full UK driving licence and vehicle.
