Contract Type: Permanent, FT, 37 hours per week

Salary: £29105 per annum

Working Location: East London

Persona: Site Based Worker - Contractual hours to be worked from allocated site, with ad hoc office attendance as required

Working Pattern: Rota basis that includes weekends, early mornings, afternoon shifts, nights, and sleep ins

Interview Dates: 9th & 10th April 2026 (1st Stage - Group Interviews in person) & 15th April 2026 (2nd Stage - Individual Interviews via Teams)

  • Providing a person-centred support service for women with learning disabilities, mental health and/or autism who are fleeing domestic abuse or harm.
  • Beverley Lewis House is the only safe house in the country for women with learning disabilities.
  • It has won two national awards and appeared on Channel 4’s Dispatches show as an example of good practice.
  • The scheme only supports six women, allowing for productive and meaningful work.

Your impact in the role:

  • Resident Advocacy: Ensure residents’ voices are heard and their needs are effectively represented during meetings with professionals and agencies.
  • Promote Independence: Help residents develop life skills for independent living.
  • Housing & Scheme Support: Monitor repairs, conduct regular health and safety inspections, liaise with contractors and fire risk assessors.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate support plans, risk assessments, and daily notes.
  • Problem-Solving and Crisis Management: Address problems independently and make effective crisis management interventions.
  • Recovery-based interventions and Support: Support with recovery and advocate for necessary treatment.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues, external professionals, and stakeholders.
