Persona: Mobile worker - contractual hours to be worked from various locations such as resident homes with ad hoc office attendance as required

Team and Location

Join our Repairs Team at L&Q: Our South West London repairs team are looking for skilled Carpenters to join the team on a permanent basis. The area covers Sutton, Croydon, Wandsworth, Merton and surrounding areas. It is essential to have a manual driving licence to carry out this role.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out a range of tasks including internal and external door fitting, splice repairs, general locksmith, bathroom sub floors, bath panels and framework, kitchen repairs/refits and other general maintenance repairs.
  • Carry out internal and external window repairs including single and double glazing, repairs to doors, lock refits and repairs.
  • Communicate effectively with residents and meet customer satisfaction objectives, ensuring a right first‑time service.

Core hours and opportunities

Core hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm. There is the opportunity to earn more from call outs and out‑of‑hours service.

Qualifications and experience

  • Sound working trade knowledge and experience.
  • Experience gained within a maintenance, site or housing environment.
  • NVQ or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to deliver excellent customer service and a right first‑time approach.
  • Health and Safety conscious.
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Wide range of multi‑trade skills.
