Exciting opportunity in Accounting Operations. This role ensures smooth administration of accounting processes while maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.
Key Purpose
- Analyse balance sheet and profit & loss accounts to identify anomalies, ensure accuracy and correct cost treatment in management accounts.
- Support sales teams by preparing accurate billing reports.
- Perform bank reconciliations, investigating and resolving outstanding queries.
- Quarterly permanent supervision controls for the department.
Primary Responsibilities
- Complete daily bank reconciliations including end‑of‑month reconciliation.
- Prepare various billing reports for external clients.
- Reconcile and analyze profit and loss accounts.
- Review and validate credit note requests to ensure they are valid, coded correctly, and approved in line with the authority manual.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations allocated to the role and provide cover as needed.
- Complete quarterly permanent supervision controls.
- Provide assistance and support to the yearly external audit.
- Act as an account operations knowledge expert, offering support and guidance to the team and wider business.
Skills, Experience & Background
- Previous experience in finance/accounting operations.
- Qualified or working towards AAT or equivalent.
- Evidence of strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to work under pressure.
- High numeracy and attention to detail.
- Good IT literacy, especially Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Self‑motivated with strong organisational skills and time management.
