The predicted salary is between 11 - 16 £ per hour.

Salary: £14,428 (20 hours/week)

Hours: 7:30 am to 9:30 am and 4 pm to 6 pm Monday to Friday. Preferred one person who could do 20 hours per week; but we are also willing to offer the position to 2 candidates who could do 10 hours each.

Holiday: 7 weeks of paid holiday (2 weeks at Christmas, 2 weeks end of August + 15 days holidays to choose during the year)

Location: Paddington (5 min walk from the station)

Les Petites Etoiles is a private bilingual nursery that offers excellent care and education. We admit children to the nursery from six months until four years. Our Paddington branch is a lovely nursery located 5 minutes walking from the Paddington station with a warm and supportive staff.

Job Role

As the Porter, you will be solely responsible for performing multiple tasks across the nursery when required, which could include, but is not limited to:

  • Support on opening checks and tasks
  • Welcoming parents and bringing buggies up and down stairs
  • Receiving deliveries

Ideally, you will have the following skills and characteristics:

  • Ability to multi-task
  • Attention to detail
  • Reliability
  • Verbal communication: Ability to read, write, and follow written and oral instructions
  • Must be a team player and treat co-workers with respect
  • Reliable attendance is expected

Responsibilities

  • To welcome parents/visitors mornings and evenings
  • To ensure the rubbish is taken out on a daily basis
  • To ensure recycling is put out every Tuesday morning
  • To carry out the Daily Risk Assessment check of the nursery every morning and ensure the duties on the Daily Risk Assessment are done
  • To take the triple pushchairs in and out on a daily basis
  • To bring up pushchairs as requested by the teams
  • To bring parents' buggies and pushchairs up and down the stairs
  • Ensure that parents and visitors sign in and out
  • To make sure that the teachers are told when parents arrive to collect their children
  • To keep the reception area tidy
  • To help the babies get ready when needed
