The Role
As Works Foreman, you will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of operatives and subcontractors on site across multiple properties and project locations throughout London. You will act as the key link between site teams and the North London office.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise site operatives, multi-traders, and subcontractors
- Coordinate daily works schedules and allocate tasks
- Oversee planned maintenance, reactive works, and refurbishment projects
- Ensure all works are completed to the required quality standards
- Carry out site inspections and quality checks
- Monitor progress against programmes and report to management
- Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and RAMS
- Manage materials, deliveries, and site housekeeping
- Liaise with tenants, housing officers, site managers, and clients
- Resolve on-site issues and escalate where required
- Complete site records, reports, and progress updates
About You
You will be an experienced Works Foreman, Supervisor, or Senior Operative with strong leadership skills and a solid background in property maintenance or refurbishment.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Works Foreman, Site Supervisor, or Senior Multi-Trader
- Strong knowledge of property maintenance and refurbishment works
- Experience managing operatives and subcontractors on live sites
- Ability to work from schedules, programmes, and drawings
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Confident communicator with clients, tenants, and internal teams
- Good understanding of health & safety legislation and site procedures
- Full UK Driving Licence
Qualifications (Preferred)
- SSSTS or SMSTS
- CSCS Card (Supervisor or equivalent)
- First Aid at Work
- Asbestos Awareness
- NVQ Level 3 or above in a relevant trade or construction supervision
(Training can be provided for the right candidate.)
