Are you an experienced Complex Care Team Leader or Senior Support Worker looking for a role where you can combine hands-on care with genuine leadership responsibility? Mash Care is recruiting on behalf of a private client for an experienced and confident Team Leader to lead an established support team working with an individual in their own home in Cambridgeshire.
This is a varied and rewarding role combining hands-on complex care, team leadership and dedicated management time. You won't be expected to squeeze the leadership responsibilities in around care shifts — the role includes 15 hours of dedicated admin time each week to manage the team, rotas, care plans, risk assessments and the wider running of the package.
The position consists of:
- One 12-hour care shift per week
- One night shift per week
You'll work closely with the client, their family, support team, care manager, Deputyship team, therapists and other professionals to ensure the client receives consistent, high-quality support and is able to live as independently and fully as possible. This is not a traditional care setting. The support is entirely centred around one individual, their rehabilitation, independence, goals and quality of life.
We're looking for someone with strong practical experience in complex care and team management:
- Creating, reviewing and updating care and rehabilitation support plans
- Completing and reviewing risk assessments
- Managing staff rotas and ensuring appropriate shift coverage
- Providing regular supervision and appraisals
- Ensuring staff follow agreed care plans, risk assessments and rehabilitation strategies
- Monitoring the quality and consistency of support provided
- Help plan daily, weekly and monthly activities
- Encourage and facilitate access to the community
- Support with personal care, medication and healthcare needs
- Assist with food preparation and nutrition
- Help maintain a safe and comfortable home environment
The right person will understand the importance of consistency in complex care and rehabilitation. You'll be able to encourage and motivate without taking over, helping the client to achieve as much independence as realistically possible.
We're looking for someone who already has strong experience within complex care and can confidently take ownership of the leadership and administrative responsibilities of the package:
- Complex care
- Creating and reviewing care plans
- Completing and updating risk assessments
- Staff rostering and rota management
- Experience supporting with personal care and medication
- A flexible, reliable and calm manner
A full, clean UK driving licence is essential, as you'll be required to drive the client's Motability vehicle.
At £20.86 per hour, this is an opportunity to take on a genuine leadership role where you'll have both hands-on involvement and the dedicated time needed to manage the package properly.
If you're an experienced complex care professional with strong skills in care planning, risk assessment, rostering and team management, we'd love to hear from you. Apply today, and a member of the Mash Care team will contact you for a confidential initial conversation.
Mash Care is acting as a recruitment agency on behalf of a private client in relation to this permanent position.
