We are partnering with a reputable, UKAS accredited asbestos consultancy to recruit an experienced Trainer to join their team. This role focuses on delivering high-quality, compliant asbestos training aligned with UK legislation, HSE guidance, UKATA requirements, and internal quality standards.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering approved UKATA training courses, as well as developing and maintaining training materials. They will also manage UKATA systems and play a key role in ensuring consistent training standards are upheld across the business.
Key responsibilities:- Deliver UKATA-approved asbestos training courses including Asbestos Awareness, Duty to Manage Asbestos, and Category B (Non-Licensed Work).
- Deliver training to internal staff and external clients across classroom, site-based, and virtual environments.
- Design and deliver client-specific asbestos training tailored to activities, risk profiles, and contractual requirements in line with UKATA and HSE expectations.
- Ensure all training complies with the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012, HSG210, HSG247, HSG248, and relevant HSE guidance.
- Maintain high professional standards of delivery, presentation, and learner engagement at all times.
- Develop, review, and maintain asbestos training materials to ensure accuracy, relevance, and compliance with legislation, HSE guidance, ACOPs, and UKATA requirements.
- Ensure all materials reflect current figures, exposure limits, terminology, and industry best practice.
- Update training content in line with legislative changes, UKATA updates, audit findings, and internal improvement actions.
- Support continuous improvement of training delivery methods and learning resources.
- Promote company services and identify opportunities for commercial development and client engagement.
- Maintain personal competence through continuous professional development (CPD) and refresher training.
- Ensure all required training, medicals, and certifications remain valid and up to date.
- Act in accordance with company core values and professional conduct standards at all times.
- Maintain confidentiality of client, learner, and company information.
Solid background and experience within the asbestos industry. Demonstrate technical competence in delivering Asbestos Awareness, Duty to Manage, and Category B Non-Licensed Work training. Possess strong knowledge of asbestos legislation and HSE guidance. Have experience auditing or mentoring trainers (desirable). Hold a full UK driving licence.
