Job Description
LP Search are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading demolition and groundworks contractor who are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join their operational team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking and highly regarded contractor with a strong pipeline of projects across commercial, industrial and residential sectors. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing multiple live projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time and within budget. You must have proven experience within the demolition and groundworks sectors, with asbestos knowledge being advantageous but not essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage multiple demolition and groundworks projects simultaneously
- Liaise with clients, consultants, and internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery
- Ensure all works are carried out in line with health & safety regulations and company procedures
- Monitor progress against programme and budget, taking corrective action where necessary
- Lead project teams, including site managers and supervisors
- Manage subcontractor performance and site logistics
- Provide technical support and resolve site issues as required
- Prepare and attend client progress meetings and produce necessary reports
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Contracts Manager within the demolition and groundworks industry
- Strong knowledge of construction and demolition practices, regulations, and sequencing
- Excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently across various stages
- Knowledge of asbestos regulations and procedures is desirable but not essential
- SMSTS, CSCS (Black or Gold), and First Aid qualifications preferred
- Full UK driving licence
