Join our team at our Blue Anchor manufacturing facility, where we are committed to safety, operational excellence, and continuous improvement. As a Manufacturing Reliability (MR) Technician, you will play a key role in supporting our Manufacturing Reliability and Continuous Improvement efforts by enabling measurable improvements across plant systems, processes, and performance. This hands‑on role supports efficiency, loss elimination, and capability building across shifts — helping ensure equipment and processes run safely, reliably, and consistently. The pay for this role is $25.65 (90% of listed classification the first 6 months), then $28.50 (100% of listed classification after 6 months) per CBA.
Responsibilities
- KWS & Continuous Improvement Support: Support the execution of Daily Management Systems and KWS activities across assigned production areas. Participate in, and sometimes lead, CI activities including Kaizens, training sessions, problem‑solving events, and loss elimination efforts. Assist with development, review, and auditing of procedures, including One Point Lessons and training manuals. Support CI training presentations and help build CI capability across the plant.
- Operational Reliability Support: Assist with root‑cause analysis, corrective action follow‑up, and CI project tracking. Collect and analyze operational data, helping map losses and identify improvement opportunities. Support maintenance and reliability teams by helping document equipment abnormalities, escalating trends, and generating CI‑related work orders. Maintain CI visual boards and ensure documentation remains accurate and current.
- Safety & Quality Focus: Model and reinforce plant safety rules and behaviors, including behavior‑based safety practices. Ensure adherence to GMPs and maintain proper documentation to support safety, quality, and compliance. Support the development of safety‑related training materials and help track safety work orders through SAP.
- Engagement and Collaboration: Maintain strong working relationships with Operations, Maintenance, and Quality teams across all shifts. Provide floor presence to support operator engagement, one‑on‑one contact, and communication of CI initiatives. Support Lean Manufacturing principles by issuing reports, conducting observations, and helping coach team members in Lean methodology.
Qualifications
- HS Diploma or GED required
- Prior manufacturing experience (food manufacturing and lean environment experience preferred)
- Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office & SAP required)
- Demonstrated ability to work with employees at all levels—operators, supervisors, union leadership, and plant leadership
- Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work all shifts as needed
- No current attendance or disciplinary issues
- Willingness to become a trainer for multiple CI programs
- Ability to work independently and bring solutions forward in a fast‑paced environment
