SEN Teaching Assistant – Secondary School Hounslow | Full-Time | September Start | Long-Term Opportunity

We're looking for caring, reliable and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to join welcoming secondary schools across Hounslow. Whether you already have experience in education or have worked in a care, youth work or support role, we'd love to hear from you.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference to the lives of young people by helping them build confidence, independence and achieve their potential.

The Role

  • Support students with a range of additional needs including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs, and moderate learning difficulties.
  • Work with students on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
  • Help pupils stay engaged with lessons and classroom activities.
  • Work closely with teachers and the school's SEN department to provide the best possible support.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and build trusting relationships with students.
  • Help create a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment.

We’re Looking For

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN (school, care, youth work or similar).
  • A calm, patient and positive approach.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to build strong relationships with students and staff.
  • A genuine passion for helping young people succeed.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
