SEN Teaching Assistant – Secondary School Hounslow | Full-Time | September Start | Long-Term Opportunity
Do you have a passion for supporting young people with Special Educational Needs? We're looking for caring, reliable and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to join welcoming secondary schools across Hounslow. Whether you already have experience in education or have worked in a care, youth work or support role, we'd love to hear from you.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference to the lives of young people by helping them build confidence, independence and achieve their potential.
The Role
- Support students with a range of additional needs including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, speech and language needs, and moderate learning difficulties.
- Work with students on a one-to-one basis and in small groups.
- Help pupils stay engaged with lessons and classroom activities.
- Work closely with teachers and the school's SEN department to provide the best possible support.
- Encourage positive behaviour and build trusting relationships with students.
- Help create a safe, inclusive and positive learning environment.
We’re Looking For
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN (school, care, youth work or similar).
- A calm, patient and positive approach.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to build strong relationships with students and staff.
- A genuine passion for helping young people succeed.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
