We are working with a well-established multi-disciplinary firm that is looking to strengthen its building structures team with the appointment of a Structural Engineer or Senior Structural Engineer. This opportunity would suit someone with around 4 – 10 years' experience who is looking to take the next step in their career and gain exposure to a genuinely diverse range of projects.

The business has a very strong reputation across Scotland - current and recent schemes include renewable energy developments, industrial facilities, data centres, commercial buildings and a wide variety of other complex structures. One of the attractions of this role is the breadth of work. Rather than becoming heavily focused on a single sector, you'll have the opportunity to work across multiple project types, giving you exposure to different clients, design challenges and construction methods.

You'll be joining an experienced and collaborative team where engineers are given responsibility, trusted to deal directly with clients and encouraged to develop professionally. Whether you're already Chartered, actively working towards Chartership, or considering that journey in the near future, you'll find plenty of support around you.

What they're looking for:

  • Around 4–10 years' structural engineering experience within a consulting engineering environment.
  • Experience designing building structures using a range of materials including steel and concrete.
  • Good communication skills and the confidence to work with colleagues, clients and external design teams.
  • A proactive approach and a genuine interest in developing your technical and project management capabilities.
  • Progress towards Chartership would be advantageous, although it isn't essential.

Why consider it?

  • Diverse and technically interesting workload.
  • Exposure to sectors including renewables, industrial, commercial and data centres.
  • Established and highly respected engineering team.
  • Flexible and hybrid working arrangements.
  • Strong support for professional development and Chartership.
  • Clear opportunities for career progression.
  • Salary from Β£38,000 up to Β£54,000 depending on specific experience and qualifications.

If you're currently feeling limited by the projects you're working on, or you're looking for an environment where you can continue developing without being treated as just another number, please get in touch with us.
