We are seeking to employ an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the company in the role of Landscape Contracts Manager. Operating from our Regional Office at Runcorn, the successful candidate will assist the existing management team to deliver a range of commercial landscaping projects involving soft landscaping, forestry, maintenance and fencing contracts across the north-west region.
Ideally, applicants will already have a minimum of 3 years’ experience within a similar role, preferably within the commercial contracting sector. Person Specification- Knowledge: A full understanding of commercial contracting within the landscaping, fencing, grounds maintenance or construction/civil industries would be beneficial.
- Qualifications: Ideally candidates will possess a relevant qualification equivalent to level 5 or higher in addition to standard industry qualifications such as Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS), Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS), Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS).
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years’ managerial or operational experience within a commercial contracting environment. An understanding of the fundamental aspects of contract management. Sound commercial acumen with the ability to quantify and create/complete unit rate tender submissions. Experience in the compilation of health and safety documentation.
- Skills: Effective communication and negotiating skills. Excellent organisation and administrative skills. Excellent IT skills with a sound working knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook. Full UK driving licence. The ability to effectively lead and supervise teams.
Initially, the successful candidate will report to and work in unison with the Regional Manager to achieve the successful delivery of existing landscaping and fencing contracts. Subject to experience, over time the role will become more autonomous whereby the candidate will become wholly responsible for their own sales and the delivery of contracts from inception to completion.
Typical duties will include:
- Assisting the Regional Manager in the day-to-day planning and delivery of landscaping and fencing contracts throughout the North-West.
- Contract administration, procurement, site auditing and data capture.
- Communicating and coordinating with our existing clients and site management staff to ensure all contracts are delivered on time and within budget.
- Delivery and review of health and safety systems in the field.
- Identifying and developing business opportunities with new and existing clients.
- Assisting in the preparation and estimating of a wide range of tendering opportunities.
Subject to existing experience and qualifications held, selective training will be delivered to the candidate through a combination of in-house training and external consultancy/training providers.
Remuneration and Benefits- Salary range £35,000 – £45,000 dependent on experience.
