Job Description
Front of House Catering Assistant part-time at weekends, responsible to Visitor Services Manager – Catering Supervisors, and based at Lowther Castle and Gardens, Penrith, Cumbria, CA10 2HH.
Work as part of the catering team to deliver the following:
- Assist in the day-to-day operations of the café ensuring a consistently high quality of food and drink is always served.
- Promote and deliver a high standard of customer service and ensure visitor expectations have been exceeded.
- Promote customer loyalty and returning visitors.
- Follow Food Safety and Health and Safety training and make sure products are of good quality, kept at correct temperatures and ensure you always have the correct allergen information.
- Maintain displays in our customer areas that give a good offer to all our visitors, serving food and clear down of areas afterwards within the main café area and other catering outlets.
- Ensure the highest possible standards of presentation by ensuring that displays, fixtures, fittings and premises are maintained in accordance with the cleaning schedules.
- Deal with customer queries or requests in a polite and efficient manner.
- Present a smart, professional appearance and good personal hygiene.
About You
Previous experience in Catering & Hospitality is desirable but not essential as full training will be given. A willingness to roll up your sleeves and adapt helping other colleagues when needed, a warm and friendly personality with great communication skills.
