A Nursing Home Manager for a 10 Bed Learning Disability Care Home in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, with a salary of £55,000.00. The main purpose of the role is to oversee the daily operations of the home, ensuring high-quality care and support for residents while meeting financial targets and maintaining full occupancy.

As a regulated business, the candidate must be registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and familiar with relevant legislation and regulations. You will have the support of a Deputy Manager, Administrator, and Hospitality and Housekeeping teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and People Management: Lead by example and develop effective teams within the home. Create a positive working environment that nurtures and rewards good practice through training and development. Provide regular supervision and annual appraisals to Support Workers.
  • Quality Management: Ensure the home operates in line with statutory and Vista Care policies and procedures, adhering to CQC requirements.
  • Financial: Manage delegated budgets effectively and report any financial discrepancies to line management.
  • Management: Collate and record information in line with Quality Assessment System and CQC requirements, attending reviews as appropriate.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with H&S regulations, complete RIDDOR reports as required, and ensure staff complete necessary H&S training.
  • Partnership Working: Maximise effective partnerships with mainstream and specialist services such as Health, Education, Employment, and Leisure.
  • Equality and Diversity: Ensure equality in the workplace regardless of race, age, disability, gender, sexual orientation, or religious belief.

Person Specification: At least 3 years of recent experience at Home Manager level within an LD service, with experience in partnership working with other professionals such as health, local authority, and CQC.
