Home Manager - Bognor Regis (Residential Care Home) £70,980.00 per annum 44 bed Home Rated Good Overall by the CQC Rated a superb 9.8 / 10 by carehome About the role Working for one of the UK leading Charities, we are looking for an experienced (5 years in post ideally), values-driven Home Manager to lead one of our MHA care homes.
This is a senior leadership role with overall responsibility for delivering high-quality, person-centred care while ensuring the home operates safely, effectively and sustainably.
As Home Manager, you will lead and develop a dedicated team, create a warm and respectful community for residents, and ensure the home consistently meets regulatory, quality and financial standards.
You will be visible, approachable and hands-on, setting the culture and direction of the home in line with MHA’s values.
What you will do
- Lead, motivate and develop senior and wider teams, ensuring effective recruitment, induction, supervision, appraisal and performance management.
- Maintain responsibility for care planning, reviews and admissions, ensuring compliance with regulatory and data protection requirements.
- Promote residents’ dignity, independence, choice and involvement in decision-making.
- Ensure robust safeguarding practice, with zero tolerance for abuse or neglect.
- Take overall responsibility for medication management, health & safety and infection prevention.
- Work collaboratively with your Area Manager, Quality Business Partner and other colleagues to drive continuous improvement. About you
- We are looking for a strong, compassionate leader with a proven track record in care management.
* You will bring
- 5 years’ experience as a Home Manager within a UK elderly care setting.
- A Level 4 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care (or equivalent), or willingness to work towards this.
- Experience of managing budgets, staffing levels and financial performance.
