Job Role:
To produce/prepare and coordinate the delivery of food within the hotel
To be responsible for the day to day running of the hotel kitchen
To be responsible for maintaining high levels of hygiene controls
To ensure the control of food stock and controls to achieve budgets
To ensure the development and training of the kitchen brigade
OurHead Chefwill have passion and commitment to quality, ownership of the kitchen and the preparation & production of food and have the autonomy to create a vison to inspire the kitchen brigade.
To lead the kitchen in producing an exception food experience
To ensure all food hygiene and health & safety standards are adhered to.
You will have a passion for quality and service, have exceptional organisational skills and be able to work using your own initiative.
This is an ideal role for someone with previous senior chef experience with an eye for detail & a passion for perfection.
Responsibilities:
– Oversee all aspects of the kitchen and food production
– Lead and manage a team of culinary professionals
– Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met
– Plan and develop menus in collaboration with management
– Train and mentor kitchen staff on proper food preparation techniques
– Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed
– Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment
– Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations
Qualifications:
– Proven experience as a Head Chef or similar role
– Strong leadership and team management skills
– Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques and food preparation
– Excellent understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations
– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
– Strong organizational and time management skills
– Creative mindset with the ability to develop innovative menu ideas
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
