The Role of Executive Head Chef

Our Executive Head Chef will take ownership of the kitchen and run it your way and work with our team to deliver quality food. You will have passion and commitment to delivering quality, be confident in managing and leading a kitchen to ensure the preparation & production of food to a high standard, and you will have the autonomy to create a vision to inspire the kitchen brigade. As Executive Head Chef, you will lead the kitchen in producing a memorable food experience, ensuring all Food Hygiene and Health & Safety standards are adhered to. You will have a passion for quality and service, exceptional organisational skills, and be able to work using your own initiative. You will develop, mentor and train the brigade to grow their skills. You will ensure that stock is controlled, ordering is managed and that food costs are met whilst creating a harmonious working environment. This is an ideal role for someone with previous Head Chef or Kitchen Manager experience with an eye for detail & a passion for delivering a great offering.

You will line manage the Head Chef who oversees kitchen staff, ensures that the team maintain hygiene and safety regulations and HACCP, and work closely with hotel management to enhance the food and beverage offering.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or Kitchen Manager in a high-volume hotel or restaurant.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Expertise in menu planning, food costing, and kitchen operations.
  • Passion for culinary innovation and delivering outstanding dining experiences.
  • Excellent knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage a busy kitchen environment.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen best practices (e.g., HACCP and Food Safety certification preferred).
