Salary: £45,000 per year + overtime + uncapped bonuses

Denny, Falkirk (Central Scotland)

40 hours per week | Overtime paid at 1.5x

About the Role

Lowland Cooperage is looking for time-served Journeyman Coopers to join a fast-growing, well-organised cooperage specialising in high-volume cask repair and rejuvenation for the Scotch whisky industry.

This is a hands-on production role for an experienced cooper who takes pride in workmanship, works safely, and understands the realities of a professional, output-driven environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

You will be involved in the full scope of cooperage work, including:

  • Cask repair
  • Rejuvenation work
  • Remake/rebuild work
  • Supporting and mentoring apprentices where required
  • Maintaining high safety, quality, and housekeeping standards

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

  • Time-served cooper
  • Proven production experience (PBR / high-volume environment)
  • Strong understanding of quality standards within a cooperage environment
  • Safe, consistent, and reliable approach to work

Desirable (nice to have):

  • Experience training or mentoring apprentices
  • Background in high-throughput repair or rejuvenation operations
  • IOSH/NEBOSH training
