About the Role
Lowland Cooperage is looking for time-served Journeyman Coopers to join a fast-growing, well-organised cooperage specialising in high-volume cask repair and rejuvenation for the Scotch whisky industry.
This is a hands-on production role for an experienced cooper who takes pride in workmanship, works safely, and understands the realities of a professional, output-driven environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
You will be involved in the full scope of cooperage work, including:
- Cask repair
- Rejuvenation work
- Remake/rebuild work
- Supporting and mentoring apprentices where required
- Maintaining high safety, quality, and housekeeping standards
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- Time-served cooper
- Proven production experience (PBR / high-volume environment)
- Strong understanding of quality standards within a cooperage environment
- Safe, consistent, and reliable approach to work
Desirable (nice to have):
- Experience training or mentoring apprentices
- Background in high-throughput repair or rejuvenation operations
- IOSH/NEBOSH training
