Requirements
- Experience in chart design for rhythm games (5+ years personal or 2+ years professional)
- Conversational language ability in written English, especially relating to rhythm game terminology
- A keen interest in rhythm games and media in Japan as well as an understanding of the Game Market
Description of Role
You will be tasked with designing levels (charts) for lowiro projects, creating compelling physical gameplay experiences across all difficulty levels. You will work closely with the chart design team, and will be engaged in in-depth review processes for each chart. You will work with in-house chart design tools, and will frequently communicate asynchronously between team members spread across the globe. Please note that this is not an entry level position, and that proven experience is required.
- Professional experience charting for commercial rhythm games
- Experience charting for a wide variety of rhythm games with different control schemes
- Experience charting low-difficulty charts for rhythm games
- Native/Bilingual English and Japanese ability
- Firm understanding of musical terminology, basic music theory or song composition and arrangement
- Relatively high skill in multiple rhythm games, including Arcaea
- Portfolio including video playlist of past rhythm game charting work, personal and professional (link)
