The position will be based at our factory in Marton, Shropshire. This role would ideally suit a semi-retired or experienced individual who enjoys sharing their knowledge and wants to stay hands-on in the workshop environment, without the demands of a full-time production role. You’ll play a key part in developing the skills of our team, ensuring the safe and efficient use of woodworking machinery including saws, planers, moulders, and CNC equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide practical training and guidance to factory staff on safe machine operation.
  • Support in the induction and competency assessment of new employees.
  • Promote a strong Health & Safety culture throughout the workshop.
  • Assist in reviewing and maintaining safe systems of work and training records.
  • Share best practices to improve efficiency, quality, and safety.

About You

  • Time-served, fully competent Wood Machinist with extensive industry experience.
  • Strong knowledge of woodworking machinery and HSE regulations.
  • Passionate about training, mentoring, and developing others.
  • Good communication skills and a patient, supportive attitude.
  • Reliable, safety-conscious, and able to work independently.
