Join to apply for the Cutting Shopfloor Supervisor role at Lowfield Timber Frames Ltd. We’re looking for a driven and hands-on Cutting Shopfloor Supervisor to help us deliver excellence on every project. The position will be based at our factory in Marton, Shropshire.
As the Cutting Shopfloor Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in leading day-to-day production activities on the cutting line. You’ll ensure the efficient, safe, and accurate processing of timber components, driving productivity and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise, motivate, and support the cutting shopfloor team to achieve daily and weekly production targets.
- Ensure efficient workflow and optimal use of materials and machinery.
- Monitor production output and quality, addressing issues proactively.
- Enforce health and safety procedures and promote a strong safety culture.
- Support staff training and development to build a multi-skilled, high-performing team.
- Liaise with production planning to maintain workflow and minimise downtime.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in productivity, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Conduct regular equipment checks and coordinate maintenance as required.
- Proven experience in a supervisory or team leader role within a manufacturing environment (timber frame or wood processing experience highly desirable).
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Excellent understanding of production processes, machinery, and workflow management.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
