There are some jobs that offer a role, but this one offers a place, a lifestyle and the opportunity to shape something truly special. Set in the heart of Royal Deeside, Lower Dess Estate is a unique destination combining luxury accommodation, world-class salmon fishing, weddings, and unforgettable guest experiences within one of Scotland's most beautiful landscapes.
This is not a conventional hospitality role. We are looking for an exceptional individual to become the driving force behind our commercial growth through delivering an increase in accommodation and fishing bookings as well as ongoing improvements of our guest experience.
We are seeking someone who combines warmth and intuition with commercial instinct - someone equally comfortable welcoming wedding couples for a venue tour as they are managing bookings systems, building local partnerships, improving digital presence, and identifying opportunities to grow the business. You need to be well organised, comfortable at creating and managing accurate digital systems and have a close eye for detail to help every aspect of our guests' experience, from first website browse to fishing or staying with us, a pleasure.
You will become the day-to-day heartbeat of the estate's commercial operations — helping ensure every visitor leaves with memories they want to return to. This is a part-time role of 20 hours a week. We're looking for someone to work on-site but a small portion of the hours may be conducted remotely if that helps us to find the right person.
The Opportunity
- Accommodation and fishing bookings
- Accurate invoicing and reporting for all bookings
- Guest communications and tour hosting
- Wedding and venue enquiries
- Website and booking system development
- Marketing and business growth initiatives
- The overall guest journey from enquiry to departure
You will work closely with our catering, housekeeping, and estate teams to ensure a seamless and highly personal experience for every guest. You'll work together to come up with new ideas and learn from guests' feedback to continually improve their experience as a team.
The role offers real variety and autonomy. One day you may be refining pricing strategies and coordinating bookings; the next you may be showing prospective wedding couples around the estate, helping organise guest experiences, or building relationships with local suppliers and tourism partners. We are ambitious about the future of the estate and are looking for someone excited by the opportunity to help shape and grow it.
