What will you be doing?
You’ll receive comprehensive training before developing your own specialist market within technology or media. Your responsibilities will include:
- Candidate sourcing: Identifying and approaching talented professionals through LinkedIn, job boards, networking and targeted headhunting.
- Relationship building: Developing relationships with candidates, understanding their experience, career ambitions and motivations.
- Market research: Becoming an expert in your chosen technology or media specialism, understanding industry trends, emerging businesses and in-demand skills.
- Client development: Identifying potential clients, researching hiring requirements and building relationships with decision-makers.
- Business development: Proactively approaching prospective clients, generating new opportunities and developing your own client portfolio.
- Recruitment delivery: Managing the recruitment process from initial conversations and interviews through to offers and placements.
- Negotiation: Managing offers, salaries and expectations to secure successful outcomes for clients and candidates.
- Revenue generation: Working towards clear performance targets, developing your own desk and building a highly profitable recruitment business.
You’ll initially receive hands-on support from experienced consultants, with the opportunity to take on increasing responsibility as your confidence and experience develop.

You’ll need:
- A strong academic track record, ideally a 2:1 degree or above
- A background or genuine interest in technology, mathematics, computer science or related subjects would be a significant advantage
- Evidence of achievement through academics, competitive sport, employment or other demanding commitments
- Exceptional communication skills and the confidence to engage with people at all levels
- A competitive mindset and genuine motivation to earn significant money
- Resilience, determination and the ability to handle rejection
- An outstanding work ethic and willingness to go above and beyond
- A genuine interest in building a long-term career in recruitment
