Join us as a Techops Engineer! You will work closely with project teams to deliver IT capabilities in line with approved technical designs, ensuring solutions meet both current and future project needs. Partnering with the wider IT community, you will help support smooth releases and deployments while contributing to the technical roadmap that shapes the future of Lowell's systems and platforms.
You will proactively identify and reduce weaknesses across the existing IT landscape, maintaining a compliant and secure estate aligned with standards such as PCI-DSS and ISO27001. Alongside this, you will help keep Lowell's critical systems running smoothly by working with Group IT and third-party providers to monitor environments, resolve issues and manage incidents. With a forward-thinking mindset, you will champion automation and play an active role in driving a digital-first approach across the organisation.
What we are looking for:
- Strong technical capability across the Microsoft technology stack, including AD, Exchange, Office 365, Azure and cloud migrations from on-prem environments.
- Solid understanding of security, networking and managed infrastructure services, with experience working in regulated environments.
- Proven experience working with third-party service integrators and fully managed IT service providers, building effective and trusted relationships.
- Demonstrable experience driving process improvement and automation through scripting, tooling and modern ways of working.
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively, with experience operating as a 3rd-line (SME) support engineer across complex platforms.
- Experience working within ITIL and Agile frameworks, supporting middleware, message brokers, DLP, anti-virus, patching and containerised platforms such as Kubernetes.
If you are excited about this role but do not meet every requirement - do not worry, still apply. Your unique perspective could be just what we are looking for.
What you will get:
- A discretionary annual bonus to reward your impact.
- 3% flexible benefits that you can tailor to suit your lifestyle, whether that is extra cash, more holiday, or added health cover.
- Hybrid working for the best of both worlds - collaboration and focus.
- Free onsite parking, saving you time and money.
- Recharge and refresh opportunities with 28 days of holiday plus public holidays, and the option to buy up to five more - giving you more time for what matters most.
- Peace of mind with life assurance that supports your loved ones, no matter what.
- A culture that celebrates you and supports your wellbeing - with recognition awards, access to on-site gym facilities, and a variety of wellbeing initiatives offered throughout the year to help you stay balanced, resilient and feeling your best.
- Encouragement to be your authentic self at work by joining one of our vibrant employee networks - like Rise (Gender), Proud (LGBTQIA+), Culture, or Spark (Neurodiversity & Disability) - and connect with a community that celebrates and supports you.
