We're looking for a commercially minded Lawyer to join our Legal team and play a key role in supporting Lowell's continued growth and success. Working alongside the UK Legal Director and Senior Lawyer, you'll build strong relationships across the business, providing practical, easy-to-understand legal advice on a wide variety of commercial matters. You'll help shape and support business initiatives, negotiate important agreements, manage legal risk and provide guidance that helps colleagues make informed decisions. This is an opportunity to work on varied and interesting legal challenges in a collaborative environment where your expertise will have a real impact on the business.
What we need from you:
- Qualified Solicitor or Barrister in England & Wales or Scotland, with experience providing commercial legal advice in a business environment.
- Proven expertise in drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts while balancing legal risk with commercial objectives.
- Strong understanding of commercial law and the ability to provide clear, pragmatic advice that helps colleagues make informed business decisions.
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across all levels of an organisation.
- A proactive, risk-aware approach with strong judgement, attention to detail and the ability to manage a varied workload in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working within financial services, consumer finance or another regulated sector would be beneficial, as would exposure to data protection, technology, intellectual property and outsourcing matters.
