Join us as a Debt Collection Negotiator. You will be part of a supportive, target-driven team where you will work towards clear goals while delivering great service to our clients. Day to day, you will be speaking with customers over the phone - both inbound and outbound - gathering the right information to help create realistic and fair repayment plans. You will also be negotiating settlements, identifying when someone might be in a vulnerable situation, and making sure they get the right support. Between calls, you will be reviewing and updating account records, reaching out to businesses to find the right contacts, and verifying company details online. You will also handle messages and correspondence via email, SMS, and post, including cases involving Debt Management Companies. It is a varied role where attention to detail and following processes really matter - but you will never be on your own.

What we are looking for:

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong listening and empathy.
  • Strong time management and organisational abilities, able to prioritise effectively.
  • Team player with the ability to collaborate and contribute in a supportive environment.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, capable of working independently without supervision.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy, maintaining consistently high work standards.
  • Previous experience in debt recovery is preferred but not essential.

If you are excited about this role but do not meet every requirement - do not worry, still apply. Your unique perspective could be just what we are looking for.

What you will get:

  • A discretionary annual bonus to reward your impact.
  • 3% flexible benefits that you can tailor to suit your lifestyle, whether that is extra cash, more holiday, or added health cover.
  • Hybrid working for the best of both worlds - collaboration and focus.
  • Free onsite parking, saving you time and money.
  • Recharge and refresh opportunities with 28 days of holiday plus public holidays, and the option to buy up to five more - giving you more time for what matters most.
  • Peace of mind with life assurance that supports your loved ones, no matter what.
  • A culture that celebrates you and supports your wellbeing - with recognition awards, access to on-site gym facilities, and a variety of wellbeing initiatives offered throughout the year to help you stay balanced, resilient and feeling your best.
  • Encouragement to be your authentic self at work by joining one of our vibrant employee networks - like Rise (Gender), Proud (LGBTQIA+), Culture, or Spark (Neurodiversity & Disability) - and connect with a community that celebrates and supports you.
