We’re now recruiting for a Sales Development Representative to join our team, helping drive the ongoing success of our commercial team.
The Role
Reporting to the Marketing and Business Development Manager, you’ll turn early-stage opportunities from Marketing and Business Development into active sales conversations. Acting as a key link between the customer and our commercial team, you’ll guide prospects through trials, build business cases, and accelerate deals at a pivotal stage in the sales cycle.
Key responsibilities
Pipeline Acceleration
- Progress opportunities from early interest to active sales discussions.
- Grow mid-funnel pipeline volume and deal value.
- Meet regularly with prospects via Teams or in person.
- Present solutions, understand client needs, and offer tailored support.
- Build strong relationships with a professional, patient, and consultative approach.
Business Case Development
- Co-create compelling business cases using client data and priorities.
- Coordinate with internal teams to provide accurate, strategic input.
- Guide prospects toward trials or procurement decisions.
Stakeholder Management
- Act as the primary contact for key customer stakeholders.
- Collaborate across Sales, Marketing, Ops and Tech to keep everyone aligned.
- Support the setup and rollout of trials where needed.
Communication & Organisation
- Maintain professional, clear communication throughout the process.
- Keep HubSpot CRM updated and deals organised.
- Prepare thoroughly for meetings, delivering relevant, helpful insights.
- Help reduce deal timelines and improve conversion rates.
- Support commercial team OKRs around sales efficiency and pipeline flow.
Reporting and Performance Tracking
- Work with Marketing and Business Development Manager to track and report on conversion metrics mid-funnel, presenting regular reports back to leadership on performance improvements.
What you’ll need
- 1 – 2 years’ experience in a relevant scale up technology sales role or equivalent B2B environment.
- A degree in a business discipline at 2.1 or higher.
- Experience of working successfully in a busy and diverse environment.
- Professional attitude and mannerly approach with excellent people skills to progress developed opportunities.
- Clear passion and drive, and the right attitude toward growth.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Excellent organisational skills.
