About the Role This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate sales executive to join an established team and work with a cross section of our clients across the UK, developing strong relationships and providing excellent customer service. This is a great opportunity for someone from a sales background to progress their career in an established company. The successful candidate needs to be high energy, articulate and a self-starter with the desire to develop their sales career within a fast-paced team.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain organisational responsibility for personal workloads, including daily upkeep of business development activity, enquiries, callbacks, opportunities, forecasted business and live projects.
  • Accurately forecasting projects completion and keeping pipeline reports perpetually up to date.
  • Make effective use of the Company’s CRM system in order to track and develop sales opportunities effectively.
  • Receive sales enquiries from potential customers and ensure their specific requirements are understood to develop these to a sale.
  • Make effective use of all internal IT systems to produce quotations, designs and other project specific information.
  • To be aware of PKL Group’s position within the marketplace and to understand our competitors’ products, pricing policy and current activity.
  • Develop and maintain an excellent understanding of key customer needs by following up on enquiries and leads coming into the business.
  • Drive the hires and projects through the business to win all we can.
  • Qualify and quote the client as quickly as possible, same day or within 24 hours where possible.

Essential Skills & Experience: Candidates must possess the following skills and experience:

  • Experience of working in a fast paced sales environment as well as nurturing sales with a longer lead time.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in achieving and exceeding targets.
  • Evidence of establishing and maintaining excellent business relationships with key external and internal parties.
  • Experience in the foodservice equipment market is preferable but not essential.
  • Articulate and a fluent communicator both in writing, on the telephone and in person and will have an eye for detail and a desire to ‘get it right first time’.
