Our product range is extensive and includes simple mechanical locks, the latest electronic devices, and many bespoke solutions. Our systems can be found on a vast variety of applications.
We are now seeking to hire a Die Cast Machine Setter/Operator. Reporting to the Die Cast Manufacturing Supervisor, the Die Cast Machine Setter/Operator will be responsible for setting, operating, and monitoring 20 to 120 tonne FRECH pressure die cast machines to produce high-quality cast components in line with production schedules, quality standards, and health & safety requirements.
Responsibilities- Operate 20 to 120 tonne FRECH pressure die casting machines safely and efficiently.
- Start up and shut down machines in accordance with standard operating procedures.
- Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as required.
- Load raw materials and remove finished castings.
- Ensure correct tooling is fitted and functioning properly.
- Inspect components to ensure they meet specification and quality standards.
- Identify and report defects, non-conformances, or machine issues immediately.
- Complete quality documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- Meet daily production targets while maintaining quality standards.
- Minimise scrap and downtime.
- Maintain good housekeeping standards in line with 5S principles.
- Follow all site health and safety procedures at all times.
- Report hazards, near misses, or incidents promptly.
- Ensure safe handling of molten metal and hot components.
- Perform routine daily maintenance checks.
- Keep machines and surrounding areas clean and tidy.
- Assist maintenance personnel when required.
- Understanding of manufacturing and production processes.
- Ability to read and follow work instructions.
- Basic quality inspection skills.
