The Role

We are seeking a qualified and reliable Electrician to join our team. The successful candidate will carry out electrical installation, maintenance, inspection, testing, fault finding, and repair work across domestic, commercial, and/or industrial properties. The role requires a strong commitment to health and safety, high-quality workmanship, and excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment.
  • Carry out electrical inspections, testing, and certification.
  • Diagnose and rectify electrical faults efficiently.
  • Install lighting, power, distribution boards, wiring systems, and electrical accessories.
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and technical diagrams.
  • Ensure all work complies with current UK Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
  • Complete all required documentation and certification accurately.
  • Liaise professionally with customers, contractors, and colleagues.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles in good condition.
  • Follow all Health & Safety policies and procedures.
  • Participate in emergency call-outs or overtime when required.

Skills & Experience

Essential Requirements

  • NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Electrical Installation (or equivalent).
  • City & Guilds Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation.
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
  • Inspection and Testing qualification (City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent) preferred.
  • ECS Gold Card (or eligibility to obtain one).
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable Qualifications

  • AM2 Assessment.
  • EV Charger Installation qualification.
  • Solar PV installation experience.
  • Fire alarm installation and testing experience.
  • IPAF or PASMA certification.
  • First Aid at Work certificate.

Experience

Minimum 2 years' experience as a qualified electrician preferred. Experience in domestic, commercial, or industrial electrical work. Proven experience in inspection, testing, and fault finding is advantageous.

Working Conditions

The role involves working on a variety of sites, including residential, commercial, and industrial premises. Work may require travel, occasional overtime, and participation in an on-call rota.
