Qualifications: Must be a RN with preferably five years of clinical nursing experience.

Job duties include but are not limited to:

  • Coordinates, schedules and documents efforts to secure services due for patients with different insurances.
  • Uses EHR to communicate labs, well care exams, eye exams, foot exams, mammograms, pap smears, colonoscopies, etc. that are due.
  • Develops an organized system to track coordination of care.
  • Participates in educational opportunities to gain knowledge of care coordination activities.
  • Assists in developing policies and procedures as necessary for the nursing department along with other nursing supervisor(s).
  • Works continually to ensure quality nursing care to all patients.
  • Creates and maintains a positive work environment for patients, family and staff.
  • Provides direct patient care including but not limited to performing labs, working up patients with documentation in electronic medical record.
  • Provides direction that will ensure the development and productive performance of all nursing personnel.
  • Maintains good public relations in the community.
  • Continually works toward enhancing the image of nursing.
  • Establishes and provides programs of continuing education and assistance for all nursing staff.
  • Coordinates emergency code team in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Supervises the nursing personnel in the site.
  • Ensures that the location(s) assigned is fully staffed at all times by creating a weekly staffing schedule.
  • Maintains patient flow through a team effort.
  • Ensures that nursing personnel arrive to work at least 15 minutes prior to their assigned provider(s) first scheduled appointment.
  • Maintains medical supply inventory including crash cart supplies.
  • Orders and inventories VFC immunizations.
  • Performs any other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

Salary scales are a range of pay and offers are made to applicants based upon the requirements of the particular position. Applicants with “previous like skills” may not be given the same weight and consideration as “previous specific same skills”: i.e., For a Medical Receptionist position, “Previous clerical skills” may not be preferred over “Previous Medical Clerical Skills.”
