Role Description

We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Treasury Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the day to day Treasury responsibilities including: debt facility compliance, ensuring timely submission and review of reports to lenders, overseeing debt drawdowns, managing interest and foreign exchange hedges associated with the debt, forecasting debt drawdowns, monitoring the usage of drawdowns, cash forecasting, cash management and reporting. The Treasury Manager will also be the point of contact with the lenders Agent

The Treasury Manager plays a crucial role in maintaining the financial stability and regulatory compliance of our organisation’s debt portfolio, which primarily consists of construction capital for renewable energy projects in the UK, Europe, and North America.

Key Responsibilities

Debt Facility Compliance

  • Monitor and ensure compliance with all debt facility covenants, terms, and conditions
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including finance, legal to gather necessary information for compliance reporting
  • Maintain a comprehensive Debt report calendar and action with relevant stakeholders

Reporting and Documentation

  • Prepare and submit accurate and timely reports to lenders, including financial statements, covenant compliance certificates, and other required documentation
  • Review and analyse financial data to ensure accuracy and consistency in reporting
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation related to debt compliance activities
  • Update the financial models for the lenders for the calculation of financial covenants for the preparation of compliance certificates

Debt Drawdown Management, Forecasting and Monitoring

  • Coordinate and manage debt drawdown activities, including preparing drawdown notices, coordinating with internal stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with drawdown procedures
  • Monitor and forecast cash flow requirements to optimize debt drawdowns
  • Monitor the usage of drawdowns, track debt balances, and provide regular reports on debt positions and trends
  • Identify potential risks or issues related to debt drawdowns and propose appropriate mitigation strategies

Interest and Foreign Exchange Hedge Management

  • Manage current interest rate and foreign exchange hedging including monitoring open hedges and settlement dates
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of existing hedges and recommend adjustments as necessary to the accounting team
  • Assist with setting up and executing new hedges when required

Skills & Experience

  • Qualified Accountant – ACA / ACCA / CIMA
  • Demonstrable experience in working with different debt facilities within a Group Structure organisation
  • Experience collaborating with Investment and Finance teams on debt compliance
  • Strong influencing and communication skills, comfortable presenting to senior management
  • Strong interpersonal skills to manage interaction with lenders Agent
  • Excellent Excel & strong PowerPoint skills
  • Demonstrable relevant experience particularly in Debt Monitoring
