Role Description
The People Director is a key member of the Low Carbon Leadership team, responsible for providing strategic insights and addressing potential issues across all people-related topics. They will collaborate closely with the CEO, Executive Committee, and Board to inform decision-making and support strategic objectives.
This role offers an exciting opportunity for an ambitious, purpose-driven HR professional with a mix of strategic and tactical expertise to lead organizational development during a pivotal phase of growth.
You will be expected to:
- Develop and implement the organisation’s People Strategy aligned with business needs and future vision.
- Contribute to business strategy and performance as a UK leadership team member.
- Partner with the CEO and leaders to address organizational challenges, ensuring capability and performance.
- Establish a professional HR operation with best practices and efficient systems.
- Lead global reward strategies, including designing new reward structures, managing job architecture, and overseeing compensation processes.
- Review and optimize organizational design for capacity and effectiveness.
- Oversee employee engagement and talent acquisition initiatives.
- Create talent development programs and performance measurement systems.
- Lead HR functions across multiple geographies, including Germany and Poland.
- Manage and update policies, procedures, and practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily HR operations, continuously improving processes and reporting.
- Ensure accurate execution of HR processes: benefits, payroll, employee relations, performance management, onboarding, and offboarding.
- Oversee global reward administration, including benchmarking, salary reviews, bonuses, and incentives, ensuring legal and tax compliance.
- Design reward frameworks and lead change management initiatives.
- Develop and maintain policies supporting regulatory compliance across regions.
- Lead organizational design and workforce planning efforts.
- Support the company’s values and culture development, aligned with its mission and principles.
- Assist the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee’s work.
Skills & Experience
- Extensive senior HR experience, ideally within financial services, including international HR operations, especially in Europe.
- Deep understanding of reward frameworks, including share plans, bonuses, and incentive schemes.
- Highly data-driven, capable of analyzing HR data to enhance employee experience.
- Proven senior HR business partner experience.
- Excellent communication skills, able to simplify complex concepts clearly and consistently.
