We are currently working with one of the largest renewable energy companies in the country who have had a unique role become available. They are one of the largest installers of Solar PV & Battery Storage Systems in the UK, currently completing 400 installations per month on private domestic and social housing properties. They are looking for a Technical Surveyor/Manager who can be based in the Halifax area, looking after the installations and liaising with all residents and customers.

They have recently agreed a contract with a large Housing Association in Halifax area to deliver 500 Solar PV Installations across the next 9 months. As a Technical Surveyor, you will be based in Halifax area and your role will be to manage the installation programme. You will attend sites to carry out surveys of the properties, liaise with the customer to explain the installation process and check they are happy with everything, give them reminders of when the installation teams will be attending and carry out post installation surveys and audits for quality purposes. After the installation has been completed, you will also help residents with the apps and ensuring they know how to operate their system.

They have coined this role ‘Community Relationship Officer’ as a large part of it will be speaking with elderly or vulnerable residents and ensuring they know what is happening with the process and teaching them how to use the app. The working hours will be Monday – Friday 08:30 – 17:00pm. Once this contract has been completed in Halifax, they will be moving onto the same process in other areas nearby so there will be work to move onto. They are a £100million turnover business with over 300 employees so there is plenty of room to move into other areas of the business as well.
