Solar Electrician – Overview Low Carbon Recruitment Ltd are currently working with a Renewable Energy company in Devon who are looking for a permanent Solar Electrician’s to carry out Solar PV installations in the local area. As a company they are approved installers with NICEIC & members of the renewable energy consumer code. They specialise in Installations, Retrofit Upgrades, and Design & Supply. The company work on domestic properties, large commercial sites such as Care Homes, Showrooms and large agricultural farms Your primary responsibility will be to install, maintain, and repair solar PV systems in accordance with industry standards and safety regulations. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the growth of renewable energy and make a positive impact on the environment. They aim to make every installation as easy as possible, with all materials and scaffold delivered to site. You will be expected to complete one install per day. Responsibilities • Install solar PV systems, including inverters, wiring, and associated electrical components, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards. • Conduct electrical wiring, connections, and terminations, following wiring diagrams and specifications. • Test and commission solar PV systems to ensure optimal performance and adherence to safety protocols. • Troubleshoot and diagnose faults or issues in existing solar PV systems, performing repairs or replacements as required. • Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of solar PV installations to ensure efficient operation and maximise energy generation. • Provide guidance and support to customers regarding the operation and maintenance of their solar PV systems. • Keep accurate records of project details, including materials used, time spent, and work performed. • Stay updated with industry trends, advancements, and best practices in solar PV technology and installation methods. Qualifications • 18th Edition • NVQ Level 3 – (2391) • Solar PV Qualification would be desirable Salary & Renumeration • £30k – £35k + Bonus Scheme • Monday – Friday 8am – 4pm – Overtime Available • 28 Days Holiday (Including Bank Holidays) • Company Pension • Company Laptop • Tools Provided • On-site Parking
