Technical Design / Team Manager – Overview Low Carbon Recruitment Ltd are currently seeking a Technical Design Engineer/ Manager to work for an established Solar PV & Battery Storage Installer based in Kent. They are currently seeking an experience Design Engineer or Manager to come into the business, designing small to large domestic & commercial systems as well as acting as Technical Manager for the company too. They work with the UK’s leading Housing Developers and Construction Companies in the Southeast, the Midlands and Southwest of the UK. They are seeking a permanent Technical / Design Team Manager to oversee, manage and mentor the design engineers, and technical staff, whilst also overseeing the design and engineering of solar systems for residential and commercial projects. You will design projects from 4KW – 500KW in size, mostly for Roof Mount systems. The main design software they use is either AutoCAD or PVSol. As a Technical Design Team Manager, you will also have a hand in providing training and development to the rest of the team, providing technical guidance on industry regulations and on installation/ commissioning and more. The role will mainly be office based, with occasional off-site visits which would happen 2-3 times a month. Responsibilities • Assigning, monitoring tasks and managing the workload for all team • Conducting regular performance reviews, reporting directly to the company director • Fully responsible for the design and engineering of solar PV systems for domestic and larger commercial projects. • Providing training and development opportunities for the team • Being able to provide technical guidance from Installation to commissioning. • You will need a strong knowledge of solar PV systems including, full design for all components and grid integration • Experience in AutoCAD and PVSOL software Technical Design / Team Manager – Salary and Remuneration • Salary of £40,000 – £50,000 • Bonuses • Company Vehicle + Fuel Card • Overtime • 20 days + Bank Holidays • Sick Pay • Standard Pension
